P.S. I am all over that June and Johnny thing. We can make that happen at SxSW -- I'll find a guitarist.

As usual, I'm late to the party. (It's the boa. I keep tripping over the darn thing.)

Getting to know you has been a delight. I knew from our late-night chats on Plurk that we had forged a genuine connection. The opportunity to spend time with you (and several of the aforementioned malcontents, I mean -- okay, I probably do mean malcontents but in a good kind of way) was priceless.

I love your spitfire and your openness and the way you just come right out and say the things I'm thinking but self-censor. (I still live in mortal fear of a whoopin' from my mama.) And I'm jealous of those mad curls that suit you perfectly. Oh, and your boots -- or is that Beth? ;-)

Can't wait till you get down here to Texas and we get to spend some additional time together. Thanks for including me in your list. I'm thankful for your friendship.

Amber, what a wonderful post! You have such a beautiful way with words and sentiments. I, too, am so thankful that we met. You were one of the first people that ever really talked to me on Twitter (regretting that yet?!) and for that I am grateful.

I am also proud to say that a lot of the people on your list I can call my friends too...and mainly because of you. You know how to build a community, that's for damn sure! Now, I only ask, when you write a book that makes the NYT bestseller list, remember the little people (um, me, 'cause I'll be wanting an autograph and photo!). LOL! :) And thank you for always being there for me.

All the best to you, your sweet girl Abby, and your family this Thanksgiving season.

P.S. I REALLY want to see the Johnny/June duo in Austin...it's an appropriate setting, don't you think? ;-)

What a kind gesture. I wholeheartedly believe we collectively don't stop to say "thanks" often enough. I get frustrated every year in November because I feel like we as a culture revel in Halloween (candy for ME) and go straight to focusing on Christmas (presents for ME). We almost skip right past Thanksgiving.

And thanks for including me on the list of folks you're getting to know. I've *very* much enjoyed starting friendships with you and many others. This is why the InterWeb is so amazing to me. It takes a world that is far and wide in distance and shrinks it down to such a small scale that one-to-one, human friendships can happen despite the incredible number of miles that may physically lie between folks like you and me who wouldn't have a clue that the other exists otherwise.

That truth captures me and makes me think that all these wonderful gadgets, widgets, apps and other tools may seem shiny and new, but their real power lies in serving as the platform for the development of something old - relationships. That's why I think Mack Collier hits the nail on the head when he says not to focus on the tools, but on the connections that the tools facilitate.

I'm thankful for you, my friend, and I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

Ah jeez... I'm gonna get all misty-eyed now. Damn these Piscean sensibilities and emotions!

What an incredible list there. Some of the people above are some of my most treasured friends. I too feel blessed to know them all as much as you do... and I feel blessed to know you.

And when Hadley is sober, she's incredible... I agree. (Ann, you're killing me... thank you.)

Enjoy the turkey on Thursday... I don't know what I'll be eating in Taiwan on turkey day, but maybe they'll give us some turkey on the plane. It could happen.

Thank you for the very kind words my friend.

Hey, I knew you were gonna be fun the minute I saw your fantasy football team name ;)

Honestly, it's been great getting to know you this past year (along with many of the other fine ppl on this list) and am honored you feel the same way. These lasting relationships go further than just business but into true friends that are always there for you no matter what (I know this first hand).

Best to you and your sassy, confident, and trouble-makin' self :)
